This may be Screamin' Acres first year as a professional haunted house but it has a background in fear.

Before Screamin' Acres was envisioned another haunted house existed, The Shadow Manor Haunted House. Some of you may recognize the name, but to others the name is new. Shadow Manor was a high intensity haunted attraction that competed with some of the best in Wisconsin. Unfortunately Shadow Manor faded away, BUT reborn from the ashes comes Screamin' Acres. Screamin' Acres is not only 7 times the size of shadow manor, at over 7,000 square feet, but it is also 100 times more intense!

Screamin' Acres is a high intensity, in your face scream park with two unique attractions. The first is Goffman Asylum, a high intensity, highly detailed haunted attraction that takes up more than 4,000 square feet, and is sure to please even the most fearless patrons. The second attraction is the Psycho Circus in 3D. This haunt promises not to disappoint; using bright neon colors and crazy clowns paired with special 3D glasses to disorient all who come throw. Screamin Acres is the only haunted attraction of this caliber in the Madison area. We hope to see you there.

THE STORY:

In the early 1920’s Dr. Harold Goffman was one of the leading psychiatrists in his field; he revolutionized the way mental illnesses were treated. But in the late 1920s some of Goffmans patients started to turn up missing. Upon further investigation, the local authorities found bodies buried on Goffmans property that fit the description of sum of missing patients. The investigation continued; searching ever square inch of Goffman's property. Until, a building was found in the far corner of the property. The building was one of his greatest creations: his own personal insane asylum. What officers found inside would change their lives forever, or for some, end them. The asylum was boarded up, never to be opened again… until now. It’s your turn to enter the doors of Goffman Asylum and experience Fear on a whole new Level. We’re ready… Are You?

The clowns are lost in the Psycho Circus and are having a ball causing mayhem and destruction. All the places you loved the most as a kid are now your worst nightmare. They have taken over the ice-scream parlor and the candy shop; and they’re ready to serve up some smiles. These dreadful jesters will redefine coulrophobia for even the most diehard clown fans.
